About Me





Alexander is a recent graduate at Stony Brook University with a double Bachelors of Science in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics & Statistics. After working on several personal and course projects, Alexander has developed himself as a multifaceted software engineer who has become adept at different technologies across several technical stacks. As a member of a 3 member team, Alexander and his team designed, developed, and tested a a full stack web application that generates congressional districtings and analyzes them for racial bias. Alexander is always eager to collaborate and learn from others and is contantly focused on self improvement as both a person and as a software engineer.

Projects

CryptoTrack

  • Built a Full Stack web application using React, NodeJS, Express and MySQL that allows users to track cryptocurrency statistics and build their own custom crypto-portfolio.
  • Leveraged the CoinGecko API to track 6000+ cryptocurrencies.
  • Implemented OAuth authentication using Auth0’s React SDK.

Titans Redistricter

  • Collaborated with 3 other software engineers to design and develop a web application that generates and analyzes congressional districtings for racial bias patterns.
  • Created a frontend using ReactJS that consumes a RESTful API developed in Spring Boot and stores data in a MySQL database.
  • Congressional redistricting algorithm written in Python and optimized using cProfile.

Tabnabbing Chrome Extension

  • A chrome extension that notifies user of possible tabnabbing phishing attacks and allows user to report the URL.
  • Blacklisted URLs are stored on a MongoDB Atlas cluster and users are warned when encountering a blacklisted URL.
  • Designed and developed with JavaScript, NodeJS, HTTP, and MongoDB. Implemented a RESTful API with MongoDB Atlas, Express, and mongooseJS.

  • Developed a simple and clean wireframer for prototyping different elements of a UX/UI design.
  • Implemented using React and styled with MaterializeCSS.
  • Connected a backend with Firestore and implemented user authentication with Firebase Authentication.

Data Entry Intern

Managed thousands of adult student data in Excel and entered data into the Department of Education's database.
